Mapping of youth digital democracy and rights in Albania 

The project will start with the mapping youth participation in digital democracy: Digital skills, literacies and rights that will provide the baseline for the customisation of all other project initiatives – Mapping of youth digital democracy and rights in Albania (WP2). BCHR and SHARE will develop the methodology and research instruments and the mapping will be done by SCiDEV, ESN AL and CCIS and UZOR. This mapping will serve to identify the gap in digital rights and participation of youth in digital democracy. This will be a concrete research study with open access and knowledge transfer value to public authorities, universities, civil society, and media at large. Key activities: Peer to peer learning and research design; Conducting the mapping in Albania and in Montenegro; Finalization of the mapping report;  Organisation of public event to share the findings. 

Youth Digital Democracy and Digital Rights Accelerator Programme 

Based on the results of mapping – a Youth Digital Democracy Accelerator Programme will be developed through a co-production and design thinking workshop hosted by our partner in Spain. The launch of the Youth Digital Democracy Accelerator Programme will be done by following clear and transparent rules with specific call for applications, templates for applications, procedure for evaluation of youth applicants, and initiation of the programme in a blended format. Two info sessions will be organized by partners in Albania and selected youth will be briefed on the programme. After that, Digital Democracy Workshop series in Tirana will be co-organized by SCiDEV, NYA, CCIS, ESN AL / UZOR in Montenegro with trainers from BCHR and SHARE and YOUROPIA / thus providing a unique blending of local context with experience from the region and the EU and fostering exchange, networking, and cooperation. This work package also includes youth mobility in Serbia followed by another one in Spain, giving the possibility to youth to get exposed to other cultural environments and exchange and network with their peers. Key activities: Organisation of the co-production on developing jointly the Youth Digital Accelerator Programme; Launching of the Youth Digital Democracy Accelerator Programme; Organisation of the Digital Democracy Workshop series in Tirana; Youth mobility in Spain and Serbia.

Policy Dialogue and Awareness Campaign

The project partners will develop and conduct concrete From Digital Skills to Digital Rights Policy Dialogue and Awareness Campaign. The activities will be organized around the same three core topics to capitalize on the knowledge and experience and create momentum for policy actions: o Youth digital skills and literacies o Youth digital rights: Balancing protection and participation o Way forward in the digital world for youth: participation and empowerment. The policy dialogue will be led by the National Youth Agency and will include roundtables with relevant stakeholders. In this sense the final conference will serve to share the project results but also pave the way for follow up actions and scale up at regional level. Also, the project uses the concept of ‘digital literacies’ for youth. Digital literacies include data literacy, information literacy, visual literacy and media literacy, as well as related capacities for assessing social and ethical issues in our digital world. Key activities: Development of online and offline  awareness raising campaign; Media content co-creation; Organisation of the Digital Democracy Workshop series in Tirana and Podgorica.
