On January 31, Jesmina Sengla, EYDR Project Coordinator, presented the EYDR project to youth workers from municipalities across Albania at the Winter School 2024, an annual initiative of the Minister of State for Youth and Children in Albania implemented by the National Youth Agency, a partner of the EYDR project. The Winter School of Municipalities Youth Workers serves as a platform for strengthening the capacities of youth workers within the municipalities of Albania and for enhancing their network with other youth stakeholders coming from the public, private and/or CSO sector. This year’s edition focused entirely on digital tools for youth engagement, digital security, and e-democracy.
During the last day of this year’s winter School, SCiDEV was invited to present the EYDR project as a good practice of international collaboration in the field of youth engagement in Digital Democracy. During the presentation, Jesmina shared with the youth workers the progress of the EYDR project, highlighting key findings from the Mapping of Youth Participation in Digital Rights and the anticipated steps in the framework of Youth Digital Democracy Accelerator Programme.
The presentation sparked a dynamic discussion between youth workers and the EYDR project coordinator, exploring ways to create synergies between the project and young people from smaller municipalities including those with fewer opportunities, who are the primary focus of EYDR.
EYDR project partners remain dedicated to continuing their efforts to empower youth in digital democracy.
