On June 12, 2024, SCiDEV, as the lead of the project “Youth Participation in Digital Democracy: From Digital Skills to Digital Rights of Youth with Fewer Opportunities in the Western Balkans” (EYDR), organized an online meeting with the presence of ESN, CCIS, and YNA.
The meeting commenced by SCiDEV’s Executive Director, Mrs. Blerjana Bino, with her opening remarks and purpose of the meeting. The purpose of this meeting was the orientation and guidance of colleagues in Albania regarding the forthcoming activities such as the deployment of the survey in Albania, interviews with youth leaders and experts, conducting two focus groups with youth and youth from vulnerable groups, and case studies.
Then Mrs. Bino focused on specific tasks for each of the work teams in Albania according to the document that SCiDEV has created to address specific tasks for WP2-Specific Tasks for Mapping Youth Participation in Digital Democracy. Key aspects such as task-specific deadlines, identification and finding of young people for the focus groups, the number of participants, modalities for conducting interviews, focus groups, case studies as well as procedure for data collection and the final report were discussed.
The meeting transpired with active participation and constructive engagement from all participants. This collaborative effort underscores our shared dedication to advancing digital rights and fostering meaningful youth participation in shaping democratic process with the Western Balkans region.
